Welcoming ODC New Staff AY 2023-24

Oman Dental College is delighted to welcome the following new staff joining this Academic Year 2023-2024.
The College is looking forward to a successful journey with them.

Welcoming back Ms Maryam

Who was previously(2014-18) a visiting lecturer in Behavioural Sciences and English Language at ODC. She has now been appointed as a full-time member of faculty. Apart from teaching English Language, she will also be involved in teaching Behavior Sciences. In addition, she will also take the responsibility of being a coordinator for the Human Resources and Quality Assurance. Ms Maryam has an MSc in Sociology and Social Policy from University of Southampton, UK and is also qualified in CELTA with over 7 years of teaching experience at Higher Education Institutions and is currently undertaking a MPhil in Sociology  at the University of Southampton,  Uk.

Mr Thaer has been appointed as a full-time English Language teacher. He has over 8 years of teaching experience at Higher Education Institutions. Mr Thaer has MA in Translation(with distinction) from the Sultan Qaboos University in Oman and is curently undertaking an internationally recognized intensive level-5 TEFL course at the TEFL Academy, UK.

Mr Salvador has been appointed as a full-time English language teacher. He has over 9 years of teaching experience at Higher Education Institutions. Mr. Salvador has an MA in Education majored in English from the Philippine College of Health Sciences, Philippines and is currently undertaking a PhD in Curriculam Design, Development and Supervision at the St. Paul University, Philippines.

Dr Taif is an active ODC Alumnus who graduated in 2019 and has attained the membership of the Faculty of Dentistry(MFD) of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland(RCSI) in2021. Dr Taif is joining the College as Junior Lecturer.
